From this point, AlKifah Holding announced the idea of AlTaghani bil Quran Award. The Company has always been interested in human and social development since it was founded about forty five years ago, and with the new strategy of AlKifah Group of Companies “Al Athar Al Hasan” Center was established, which one of its main project is Shiekh Hassan Al-Afaleq’s Award. Over the past five years, the competition has contributed in presenting the most magnificent voices in reciting Quran to our mosques and Dhikr (remembrance of Allah) groups”, stated Mr. Sulaiman Hassan Al-Afaleq, the Chairman for CSR and AlKifah Holding Board Member in his speech at the final ceremony.
“The contest has a clear vision which is a nation that contemplates the Quran. Its ultimate goal is to make reciting and chanting the most important requirements in the competition in order for the participant to achieve the reward of reciting, and for the audience to gain the reward of listening and meditating upon Quran’s verses, which is considered one of the greatest acts of devotion to worship Allah. In addition, the Award contributes in the development of the literary courage of the participants through pleasant diction, and showing emotions consistent with the meaning of what they recite of Quran. This will enhance their self-esteem, submissiveness, and peace especially when reciting and chanting the Quran, which will eventually lead to the longing of reciting with passion. The Award also aims at raising the spirit of competition in caring about the Quran (memorization, recital with intonation, understanding, perfecting, and abidance), stated Mr. Younes Abu Talib, the Chairman of Al Athar Al Hasan Center.
Dr. Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sultan, Chairman of the Holy Quran Memorization Association in AlAhsa said that reciting Quran is one of the greatest acts of worship, and since the Quran includes the knowledge of everything, our government has chosen it to be the constitution of our country and a curriculum to be learnt in our schools. It has also given a great consideration to open specialized associations in Quran teaching and memorization. In addition, Quran is the guard for youth against the inappropriate desires as well as misguided and deviant thoughts.
Eng. Abdulrahman Al Jughaiman, manager of Al-Ahsa Islamic Center stated that the Award has expanded its horizons regarding the participation of communities, both males and females. The number of communities’ participants this year has reached 40 from six countries, which are India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri lanka, Philippines, and the USA.
In conclusion, Mr. Al Jughaiman thanked and appreciated the organizers of this Award and Al-Afaleq family for their consideration of Quran.
