Sheikh Hassan Alafaliq Hospital Opening Ceremony

Sheikh Hassan AlAfaleq Hospital for Rehabilitation Care was inaugurated by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Eastern Region, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Governor of Al-Ahsa, and His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Health for Planning and Development, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al-Rumaih, and several Community members and businessmen.

The hospital was opened in 2006 with the clear aim of solving the shortage of beds that hospitals faced in 2002 in cooperation with the Ministry of Health. In 2018, AlKifah Holding contributed to the development of the hospital under the name “Sheikh Hassan AlAfaleq Hospital for Long-Term Care”, at an estimated cost of 20 million Saudi riyals, to become today the largest intensive care hospital in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It was expanded to have a total area of more than 2,700 square meters, and the hospital consists of the main building and the service building. Where the main building includes: reception, and administration, in addition to the admission rooms, whose capacity has increased to 80 beds, and the service building includes: warehouses, a hall for lectures and training, and other supporting departments.

The expansion included green spaces with an area of (1,700) square meters and parking spaces for (50) cars. The development process did not depend on the building only but also included the medical staff, as the hospital is keen to train and qualify highly qualified medical and rehabilitation staff capable of helping patients, in addition to seeking to localize more jobs in various specialties.

This hospital is one of AlAthar AlHassan initiatives, which is the social responsibility arm of AlKifah Holding, that offers many initiatives under three basic criteria: health, education, and society. Where we participated in presenting many initiatives in various fields, most notably: establishing one of the largest non-profit schools in Al-Ahsa to support education, supporting and empowering youth through our long relationship with Al-Fateh Sports Club. We do not seek to stop the impact here, but we look forward to providing more together through community partnerships that ensure the achievement of impactful societal returns.
