Last Sunday, AlMoosa Specialist Hospital opened Nawal AlAfaleq Oncology Center as part of the corporate social responsibility in the Eastern Region. It is considered the first comprehensive oncology center in AlAhsa aiming to provide nursing and palliative care to patients suffering from cancer and blood diseases.
Mr. Malik AlMoosa, the executive manager at AlMoosa Specialist Hospital, said that naming the center after the deceased mother Nawal AlAfaleq was to honor her because she was suffering and struggling a lot with the disease during the treatment. “The center is a valuable initiative that will serve the people in the area, and eliminate the patients’ pain through medical facilities, which allow the patient to continue their treatment in the region”, added Mr. AlMoosa.
The center uses advanced medical technology, as well as healthcare and educational programs to enhance protection against such diseases.
Mr. AlMoosa also mentioned that all departments at the center are fully-equipped and have professional cadres, which makes this center qualified to provide the best medical care. It also includes a staff of competent specialists in different areas such as surgery and palliative care that helps healing cancer patients.
Mr. AlMoosa concluded his speech saying that the center will offer pioneer and distinctive services to cancer patients in the Eastern Region.
On the other side, Mr. Suliman AlAfaleq announced that family of the deceased “Nawal AlAfaleq” are offering yearly donation to the center to help covering the expenses of treatment for patients who cannot afford the costs. He concluded his speech by thanking AlMoosa Specialist Hospital for the noble initiative.
At the end of the event, a press conference was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz AlMoosa, Mr. Suliman AlAfaleq, Eng. Abdulaziz AlAfaleq, AlAfaleq family, and Mr. Bader AlDossary, the Director of Health Affairs for Private Sector.
