AlKifah Holding signed a community partnership agreement with the Ministry of Health, represented by His Excellency the Minister Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan AlRabiah, during the non-profit health sector forum which was organized by the Ministry in Riyadh on Thursday the 15th of March of this year.

The Agreement stipulates the development and increase of the absorptive capacity of the Sheikh Hassan AlAfaleq Hospital for Rehabilitative Care, which was founded by the Sheikh Hassan AlAfaleq, may God have mercy on him, in AlHasa; in order to provide rehabilitative care for patients whose health conditions require integrated clinical and rehabilitative care compatible with the medical care standards. The endowment cost amounts to 20 million Saudi riyals, and the project will be implemented in two phases; the first phase involves the development of the existing building and its provision with modern systems compatible with the good and aesthetic standards of the site, while the second phase involves the construction of the day care building in the name of Noura Bint Suliman AlAfaleq, the mother of the sons of Sheikh Hassan AlAfaleq; as this building includes a unit for the rehabilitative, primary and day care with an absorptive capacity up to 150 beds.

The signing of the agreement came on the sidelines of the forum organized by the Ministry; in order to stimulate the government and private institutions to activate the community participation in the health field. In this regard, Eng. Osama AlAfaleq, AlKifah Holding Board Member stated: “We understand the importance of the healthcare sector as one of the main pillars of any country, and we are aware of the ambitious plans that the Ministry is seeking to achieve; and we are more than willing to promote our strategic partnerships and broaden our investments to maximize the social and economic impact in various fields, such as health, education and innovation. This partnership is considered an extension to our father’s journey, may God have mercy on him, and a reflection of his efforts in social responsibility and support for the dear AlAhsa community”.

Furthermore, AlKifah Holding has adopted this initiative to achieve the principle of integration with the government and private sectors, and due to its importance in facilitating the access to healthcare services for those who need them; thus meeting the actual requirements of the community and achieving the desired contribution from the private sector in providing integrated and sustainable services.
