AlKifah Holding signed a joint venture agreement with Grupotec, a leading spanish multidisciplinary engineering and construction company to supply solar power for Saudi Arabia\u2019s industrial and commercial sectors, as well as to develop large scale solar projects in the region.<\/p>\n
The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Future Projects Forum, which was organised by the Saudi Contractors Authority in Riyadh. This strategic partnership will allow AlKifah to pursue opportunities for the renewable energy sector and will be a valuable addition to its portfolio of investments; by combining the unique capabilities of Grupotec’s technical expertise in renewables energy and AlKifah\u2019s strengths in the construction industry, this partnership aims to improve the quality of products and services provided to the energy sector and contribute in the growth and sustainable development of the Kingdom in alignment with Vision 2030.<\/p>\n
AlKifah\u2019s Group CEO, Eng. Abdulaziz AlAfaliq, said: \u201cthe joint venture aligns with Vision 2030 to diversify the kingdom\u2019s economy and optimize the energy mix of the Kingdom.\u201d He added: \u201cWe selected Grupotec to be our partner as we have alignment of values and vision for the sector and together we will pursue opportunities in the renewable sector in Saudi Arabia.\u201d<\/p>\n
Commenting on the joint venture, Grupotec\u2019s business development director, Azahar Gomez, said: \u201cFor us, this is a huge step to have a presence in Saudi Arabia with a very well-known partner as AlKifah. We have been very successful with utility-scale projects around the world, although we are Spanish, our biggest portfolio is abroad.\u201d<\/p>\n
She added: \u201cWe have a lot of synergies to work together in the region and are very interested in pursuing opportunities in the Middle East. We connected with AlKifah in London last year and have been working closely together for the past few months for this Joint Venture to be completed today at this auspicious event.\u201d<\/p>\n
