The Ministry of Housing held a workshop in the presence of the Saudi-Chinese alliance for the Development of Dhahyat AlAsfar, which was held in AlKifah Tower in Khobar. The workshop discussed the preliminary site plans and designs, as well as multiple construction technologies that will be utilized in the development process.

It is expected that the project will include 100,000 residential units and a number of public facilities such as parks and entertainment centers, as well as schools and medical care centers, which will develop the region and support its growth.

Eng. Abdulaziz bin Hassan AlAfaliq, AlKifah Holding Chief Executive Officer, said that: “We are very proud to be part of this alliance not only as representatives of AlAhsa region but as representatives of the Saudi private sector. We look forward to working with the Ministry of Housing and the rest of the Chinese alliance to deliver residential units to all segments of the community with the latest advanced construction technologies. The first phase will focus on low and medium income individuals due to the increasing demand to obtain their housing needs.”

The alliance includes five major companies, three of them from China – Norinco International Group Limited, China Power, China Third Metallurgical Group Corporation Limited. And from Saudi Arabia AlKifah Holding, representing AlAhsa, Safari Group, Saudi Consulting Services Office Saud Consult, and Colliers International.
